The annual Summer and Winter Paralympics are held every 4 years for the Disabled Athletes. Teams all around the world come and compete in these games. These games help prove to society that the Disabled can do what normal athletes can do. What the Paralympians can do is "Super Human" and amazing.

A little history lesson.... the Winter Paralympics games were created in 1976. They were first held in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. The creator is Sir Ludwig Guttmann.

Just like the Winter Olympics, the Winter Paralympics is held every 4 years. The Paralympics and Olympics both take place in the same city. Teams from all over the world come to compete in these games.
As of May 2, 2012, the Paralympic Committee has put Para-Snowboarding in the Winter Paralympic Games.
